Our research in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder

  • A well-recognized limitation in current research is the lack of adequate sample sizes. The GPC aims to significantly contribute to available resources through the ascertainment and genetic analysis of large samples with (cases) and without (controls) neuropsychiatric disorders.
  • An important aspect of this collection is comparing genetic/genomic data between affected and unaffected individuals to identify variants that may increase (or decrease) disease susceptibility.
